This is a general guide to the elements listed on the joining form. Those elements are: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Ice, Lightning, Metal, Dark and Holy. For more information on each element, please continue to read below, and if you still have any questions about a particular element, feel free to message me.[/sup] Spiritual: Often regarded as the same element, Spiritual animals are, in fact, completely different to the Holy ones. Whereas those of the Holy element specialize in physical healing and such, the power of Spiritual creatures mainly lies within their abilities to affect the mind, also altering one’s perception of reality. A dangerous tool when in the wrong hands, these animals are also closely linked in with many myths and legends.
Earth: Creatures of the Earth element have the ability to control the ground. Controlling the ground includes the ability to create earthquakes, rock slides, move rocks, etcetera, all with their aura. Below are the animals of the Earth element:
#001. Bear – brown or black in colour, male or female.
#002. Elk – any variety of browns, often known to have green eyes; male or female.
#003. Moose – any variety of browns, often known to have dark brown eyes, 95% are female.
#004. Horse – any colour, usually average-sized equines, eyes usually have a tint of brown or green to them; male or female.
#005. Deer – any variation of brown, often known to have dark brown eyes, 96% are female. All elemental deer are born into this element; males tend to mature into the Dark element, although some do not.
#006. Wolf – any variety of colours, can be male or female. All elemental wolves are born into this element; some wolves may mature into the Dark element, although this is incredibly rare.
Plant: Animals of this element have the power to control plants. They can use the foliage around them to hide themselves or change the plant - using their aura - into a weapon (for example, a huge venus fly trap that attacks an opponent for them). The creatures of this element are listed below:
#001. Squirrel – either grey or red, the red squirrels are rarer. They can be male or female, and although all squirrels are born into this element, a small percentage might mature into the Earth element.
#002. Rabbit – any variation of colours, these can be male or female. They tend to be shy creatures, albeit, some are obnoxious and incredibly outspoken.
#003. Mustelids – this group consists of pine martens, weasels, ferrets and stoats. They come in a variety of colours and can be male or female, but the males can be a lot meaner than the usually calm and placid females.
#004. Buffalo – Brown or black in shades, brown being the most common. Eyes are often a light brown, flecked with green. The males are much larger and bolder than the females, but the females are sweeter and less hot headed. There is a 25% chance a male will mature into a Dark element or an Earth element.
#005. Common Woolly Monkey – These can come in a variety of browns and their eyes are a light brown in colour, often with a tint of darker brown. They can be both male or female, and there is a 10% chance that either gender will mature into the Dark element.
#006 Rats / Mice – Both rats and mice come in a variety of colours, the most common for rats being black and the most common for mice being white. Both species can be either gender, although there's a 10% chance of either gender rat maturing into the Dark element.
Fire: This is pretty self-explanatory – the animals that prefer to merge with fire instead of any other element. The creatures of the Fire element prefer to stay around hot places and have a slight passion for burning things whenever they can. Usually a form of orange, red and yellow in colour, every animal of the Fire element can breathe or create fire in a way. Below are the creatures of the Fire element:
#001. Phoenix – Reincarnated once a year, they keep the level they ‘died’ at (for lack of a better word), but need to be re-taught any abilities they’ve learnt. Because their feathers are made of fire, phoenixes have learnt not to burn the person they’re Bonded to—or anything around them, for that matter.
#002. Dragon – Of average size, some dragons can grow to be quite large, and they’re usually red, orange or yellow in colour. Most of these dragons have wings, although only a small (around 2%) don’t, and they can both breathe fire and create fire using different methods.
#003. Feline – Think something the size of a lioness and you’ve got it right. These felines are often ‘big cat’ felines; cheetahs, leopards, lions, etcetera. They have amazing agility and endurance.
#004. African Wild Dog – Crazy splotches of black and gold cover their lean frames, a smile always on their mouths. Probably the least graceful of the fire animals, but it doesn't seem like they notice. Eyes are like flames themselves, varying from red to yellow. They are tricky and cunning, the females much stronger and more bossy than the sly and joking males. Either gender is probable.
#005. Fire Salamander – Rather like lizard sized dragons, Fire Salamanders can breathe small amounts of fire and can also create fire through means of heating up things to such a temperature that they start burning and turn into a fire. There is a 50-50 chance that male salamanders will mature into the Dark element as they grow older, and these creatures come in a variety of different shades of red. They can be both male and female.
006. African Grey Parrot – Highly intelligent, these birds come in solid grey. The tip of their wings are black and their tails are long feathers - red in colour. They can create fire with some concentration and can be both male or female. There is a chance that both males and females could mature into the Lightning element.
Water: Those of the Water element prefer to mingle with water instead of any other element. Creatures of the Water element can control water—including making tidal waves and such. They’re hardly ever seen away from a source of water, and if they go without a source of water for a long time, they get very hard to handle and their skin often starts to dry up. Animals of the Water element are listed below:
#001. Otter – any variation of brown in colour, male or female. They have a high tolerance to being out of water; their fur rarely starts to dry up and they remain mild-mannered.
#002. Water vole – any variation of black or brown, male or female. Vulnerable when not in water, these voles need to remain wet if they’re not in a lake or something similar. Although their fur doesn’t dry up, they get very panicky if they’re out of water for a certain period of time.
#003. Kelpies – any variation of colours, male or female. Kelpies are water horses and should always stay in water, although they can be out of water for a certain amount of time. The males are more prone to dragging people under than the females are, although they’ve learnt not to do this to their Bonded.
#004. Bullfrog – They come in all shades that 'normal' bullfrogs would come in, the only difference between them is the fact that these frogs are probably the size of a small dog. They have a pernament unsatisfied hunger, and will eat as much as it can, and will eat anything. Tin cans, small cats, clothes, humans, anything it can fit in its mouth. Both genders are common, and there is a 10% chance that either gender will mature into a Dark element.
Air: Creatures of the Air element always have wings and also possess the ability to control the air via their wings or their aura. They are often neutral or pastel colours, ranging from crème to a soft baby blue. The animals of the Air element are listed below:
#001. Dragon – A tad larger than their Fire element cousins, Air dragons can have up to two pairs of wings. They are male or female and are usually crème or white in colour, although the rarest colour to have been recorded is soft blue.
#002. Gryphon – Half bird and half feline with feathery wings. The half-bird part of a gryphon is often eagle or something similar, but apart from that, there isn’t much variation between Air gryphons. These are also known as hippogriffs.
#003. Bat – Average size and colour, these are usually fruit bats and pose little threat to anyone. Their wings are often leathery and soft to the touch.
#004. Bird – Often seagulls or pigeons, the rarest bird of the Air element is an albatross.
#005. Pegasus – Most unlike their Dark cousins, the pegasus of the Air element are usually white or an off-white in colour, although some of them have been known to be other colours, such as cream and light blue. They can be both male and female and are similar to the Thoroughbred with regards to their build.
Ice: Animals that prefer the Ice element have the power to control ice or snow. They can also create ice, be it icicles and small piles of snow—although the top-level Ice creatures can create snowstorms and ice storms if they’re powerful enough. Always cold to the touch, these animals often prefer mountainous territory—and most of them are laid back beasts. Creatures of the Ice element are listed below:
#001. Polar bear – White in colour, they can grow to be extremely large and they can be male or female. They’re more fond of creating snow than ice, and they absolutely adore the cold.
#002. Arctic fox – Similar to foxes, these of the Ice element are white in colour and are of average size; they can be either male or female. Like polar bears, they enjoy the cold environment and are very fond of the person they’re Bonded to.
#003. Caribou – Very much like moose, caribou are bulkier and more graceful in appearance. They can be either male or female and come in a variety of different browns with regards to colours. Soppy and affectionate, they enjoy company, especially the company of their Bonded.
#004. Siberian Tiger – Both males and females are large and usually a deep red in colour, with your typical black tiger stripes. Well-suited to the cold weather, these animals do very much enjoy and revel in the low temperatures that they originate from.
Lightning: Creatures of the Lightning element are partial to storms and the weather. They can create lightning through many means and some hold them responsible for the odd lightning storm that Antica has—as well as being able to draw power from electrical sources. They often have determined personalities, although this may vary, as it always does. The animals of the Lightning element are listed below:
#001. Raptor Bird – Often eagles and hawks, these birds are the predators of the skies. Colours vary greatly and they can be either male or female; they can also be any type of predatory bird. All of these birds are carnivorous.
#002. Coyote – Scruffier and smaller than the wolf, these can be male or female and come in a variety of colours.
#003. Alicorn – Similar to a Pegasus, but it has a horn that is either silver or gold. These horses have wings, as well (as stated above), and come in a variety of colours, although their eyes often have a tint of gold to them. They’re often known as Unicorn x Pegasus hybrids, or ‘Unipegs’.
#004. Bengal Tiger – Similar to their Ice cousins, Bengals have yellow base coats instead of the equally-striking red coats of their cousins. Their stripes are not like the Siberian Tiger's, however, because these tiger stripes mimic jagged flashes of lightning; they can be male or female.
#005. Domestic cat – Always a tabby cat, these come in a variety of different colours and can be male or female. Their stripes mimic lightning, but not to the extent that the stripes of a Bengal Tiger do; tabby cat stripes are not that jagged.
Metal: Instead of controlling the ground, these creatures have the ability to control anything metal—be it iron or steel. They can bend, twist and generally re-mould anything that’s metal, and these animals are often coated in thick metal armour to protect themselves. In doing that, their armour has become trademarked to their strength and amazing defences. The creatures of the Metal element are listed below:
#001. Armoured Bear – A bear (usually a polar bear) with huge armour all over it. (Think Iorek from His Dark Materials.) They have legendary strength and – as some say – an unbeatable defence system.
#002. Iron Horse – Stockier than their Earth cousins, these horses are covered with plates of armour (imagine the horses that knights used for lancing… in armour). They’re used for protection and fighting more than anything else, and they take after stockier breeds of horse, like Shires.
#003. Metal Dragon – Larger than any of its cousins, the Metal dragon has thick, protective scales of iron. It doesn’t have wings, simply because its body mass is too heavy to lift into the air, but its claws are huge and it’s often described as a ‘cruel foe’ when in being used for battle.
#004. Alligator – Colours vary from shades of grey, silver, black and white extremely rare. Some of their bodies are covered in metal plates, such as their necks, heads and spine. Eyes are usually black in colour. Male is the most common gender, females larger than males. Both genders are (sadly) lazy, and are usually used for attacking rather than defending.
Dark: The complete opposite of animals of the Holy element, those of the Dark element are stereotyped to take pleasure in pain and such (although not all of the creatures of this element are like that). They love the darkness and their colours are always dim, some of the most common colours being black and dark violet. The animals of the Dark element are listed below:
#001. Deer – Usually black or dark lilac, 97% of them are males.
#002. Wolf – Commonly found as black, they can also be dark grey and dark lilac/dark blue. They can be either male or female.
#003. Pegasus – Always black, the rarest colour recorded was dark grey. They can be either male or female.
#004. Crow – Again, these are always black and they are possessed with a highly intelligent mind. They can be male or female.
#005. Raven – Similar to the crow, these are black as well and are equally as intelligent as the crow. They can be male or female.
Holy: The animals of the Holy element are used for healing and other ‘purification’ acts. They are religious, you could say, and are often found near churches and other sights of religious value. In most cases, they are found with a mark of the cross on their body—the mark being easy to see or inconspicuous, it varies between each creature. The animals of the Holy element are listed below:
#001. Unicorn – Always white with a horn that’s either silver or gold. These can be male or female but are more commonly female.
#002. Dove – Like the unicorn, these are always white. They are rarely used for battle and are linked to healing and such more-so than other animals of this element.
#003. White Tiger – Again, these animals – like all others of the Holy element – are always white. However, these tigers possess either gold or silver markings and can also be male or female, although females are more common.
#004. Snow Leopard – White, as usual, like the white tiger, these possess either gold or silver markings. Usually of either gender, female snow leopards are more common than males.

#001. Owls – Ranging from the Eagle Owl to the Barn Owl, these birds can come in any shape, size and colour. A vast majority of them are females, although one may also come across a male.
#002. Raccoons – Clever and sly little animals, raccoons are mainly used with thieves, although they can be companions for people of other professions as well. They’re highly intelligent and can be male or female.
#003. Badgers – Unique, curious creatures that were originally thought to belong to a different element, badgers are, in fact, animals of the Spiritual element. They’re often seen only at night, although they do come out at other times during the day, and they can be male or female.[/blockquote]
