This is a general guide to each rank listed on the joining form. Those ranks are: Peasant, Hunter, Trainer, Breeder and Councillor**. For information on each one, please continue to scroll down.
NEW » Apprentices: Technically, this rank isn’t really a job, although some might see it as a job and others might not. Every once-in-a-while, a member of any of the skilled professions listed, can offer a peasant or a younger member of Atland a job as an apprentice. It’s something to be treasured and almost always guarantees the new apprentice a place in the profession of their master. Although the pay is poor—if you’re lucky enough to get any, that is—the experience is rewarding, and an apprenticeship can last from a few months up to a few years.
Methods: Apprenticeship methods vary with the master and profession. PM your master for methods on how to be an apprentice—otherwise you can message a member of staff.
Peasant: A Peasant is a member of Antica that does not have a job—or rather; they spend their time working around the village and in the marketplace. Peasants themselves have many different jobs, as such; the statement ‘… does not have a job’ was meant in a way that they do not have jobs involving elemental creatures, they prefer to keep them as pets. Actual Peasant jobs include anything from farming to selling goods, so if you do fancy a life without an elemental animal by your side or just to keep them as companions and not do anything ‘constructive’ (ie: breed them) with your creature, this is probably the best rank for you. Peasants earn around 200-500 Munny a month, depending on their job.
Hunter: Although the name suggests that these people go out and kill things, that’s not true. Instead, Hunters are the people who go out into the surrounding areas of Antica and find elemental animals that are wild. Then, through any means necessary, they catch the animal and bring it back to the village in order to sell it and make profit. If you fancy the challenge of finding and catching wild and elementally gifted creatures, this is the rank for you! Hunters earn around 500-2000 a month, depending on the profits they make.
Methods: Different Hunters use different means to go about catching an animal. Some prefer to stay out in the wilderness for days and simply wait for a creature to cross their path; then ambush it, whilst others like to battle the animal into exhaustion. There are a few Hunters that are even known to try and befriend a creature—although this method in itself is rare as the wild elementals are used to being on their own and dislike human company. How you choose to hunt in the wilderness is up to you entirely, so good luck.
Trainer: When a Hunter has successfully brought back an animal and wants to sell it, it is then the Trainer’s job to buy it on the market and train it, then sell it again for more profit. Trainers often handle two to three creatures at a time, although the creatures are always elements that the Trainer specializes in—or else they wouldn’t be able to train them. That being said, Trainers often bond quite well with the animals, which makes the job quite emotionally risky when it comes to selling the creatures in the weekly market. Trainers earn around 1500-4000 Munny a month, depending on how much profit they make.
Methods: Like Hunters, Trainers also have different ways of training the creatures they acquire. Some people prefer to train them out-right in order for the quickest stat rises and levelling (thus having to wait less time to make money), whilst others take their time with the animals and teach them manners and such as well as actually training them. How you choose to train the creatures you acquire is up to you entirely, so good luck with it.
Breeder: Finding suitable mates for every type of element to ensure good offspring are born and Munny is made is hard. Albeit, that’s probably why Breeders came to Antica in the first place—to provide a constant flow of elementals for everyone and to produce the best eggs and animals that they can. However, breeding costs money, and if you don’t get it right, you won’t get a lot of profit, which is why this is a risky job. It’s either a win-win situation or a lose-lose situation—plus, for every egg you sell, there’s tax to be paid.* Breeders earn around 2000-6000 a month, depending on how much profit they made.
Method: Breeders have different ways of going about things, that’s for sure. Some prefer to buy their stock from Trainers and then cross-breed, whilst others rarely breed at all and instead spend their time waiting for the closest thing to a ‘perfect’ mate for their creature. There have been cases where a Breeder produces offspring left, right and centre, just to make Munny—but whichever way you choose to breed creatures and make profit yourself is entirely up to you; good luck.
** Councillor: The most respected rank of all, Councillors are required to manage all the festivals throughout the year, as well as ‘keep the peace’ and make sure the village finances are looked after. These are some of their easiest jobs, mind you, and a Councillor’s day is never completely finished. Despite the rank being well-paid, it often leaves the village’s Councillors drained and tired because there’s so much to do, but if this is the life for you… so be it. Councillors earn around 4000-8000 Munny a month.
* The tax to be donated to the village, per egg, is 100M (100 Munny). ** Councillors are selected by the Administrator(s); you cannot join as this rank.
